Cellini lodge and its members support many charities, civic organizations, and community sports
programs with donations. The members of Cellini Lodge work together to raise the funds for
these awards and donations with many social events. They run many dinner dances, scholarship
journals, plant sales, Chinese auctions, and the list goes on. The largest fund raising event is a five
day Italian Festival held every year at the North Hempstead Park in New Hype Park.
The lodge has a very successful scholarship program which provides monetary awards not only
to the sons and daughters of lodge members but also to graduating students from the local
community high schools.
Cellini Lodge has within its ranks: two senior citizen groups, two youth groups, a bowling league,
and a culture and heritage committee.
Recognized nationally in 1976 by the American Revolution bicentennial Administration as one of
ten Italo-American organizations across the country which distinguished itself in the celebration of
our Nation's 200th birthday, the lodge presents a real picture of the Italian-American suburbanite
who has achieved a reputable and respected position in the community.
