Dear Brothers & Sisters,

As you read this article, I am on the verge of completing my first year as your president. I want to take a moment to thank each and every member of my council as well as all my chair people. This year has definitely been a year to remember. There have been many ups and downs and you have all been behind me100%.

In the month of January Immediate Past President Jean and her committee had the task of putting together a new slate of officers as well as their recommendation for delegates to the state convention. The task was not an easy one but they did their best to come to a slate that will be best suited for Cellini Lodge.

On February 11th the Grand Lodge will be hosting a Comedy night at Governors Comedy Club, the cost is $20 per person please let me know if you are interested. We have a total of 240 tickets that need to be sold throughout Districts I, II, & III. The night is sure to be a ton of laughs.

February 16th is Carnival night which is being chaired by Anna Mulea and Juliette Millazzo. Please come and enjoy a low cost and fun night out.

March 26th is our Annual Scholarship Dinner Dance honoring Richard Nicollello, Richard DiMartini, & Richard Valle. These three distinguished gentlemen are all members of our lodge and active in our community. They are all well deserving individuals. Please make your reservation for the dinner, which is going to be held at Chatau Briand in Westbury, with Alfonso Squillante. Make all checks payable to Cellini Charitable Foundation and mail them to Alfonso Squillante. Also send in all your Scholarship Journal Ads to Joseph Sciame, he is anxiously awaiting all the ads. If you would like to attend but cannot drive at night please feel free to contact Grace Ferrara and she will help find you a ride.

Please remember to keep the people in Haiti in your prayers as well as all their families that are here. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Valentine’s day.

Rando Family - OSIA NY Family of the Year

Cellini Lodge’s own Joseph Rando and Mary Lou Rando won the family of the year award at the 2009 NYS OSIA Grand Lodge Convention held at the Desmond in Albany NY, 6/4-6/7.

Joe is a Cellini Lodge Past President and a past NYS District II Trustee.  Marylou has held many positions on the Cellini Lodge Council and currently serves on the NYS Committee for Cooley’s Anemia. They are pictured here with their children and grandchildren.

Cellini Lodge is proud to have the Rando Family as members.

Congratulations to Cellini Lodge President Gina Ferrara for being re-elected to her second term.  NYS OSIA President Salvatore Lanzalotta hands the  gavel to incoming Cellini Lodge President Gina Ferrara during the installation ceremonies on March 1st 2010.
