CELLINI LODGE# 2206 GRANDCHILD UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
FOR GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS WHOSE PARENTS ARE NOT MEMBERS OF CELLINI LODGE

This year The Cellini Charitable Foundation will award one scholarship to a grandchild of a Cellini grandparent
Member who will be graduating from high school this year.  The amount of the one time award will be $500 to
$1000,(based on available funds) and will be presented on a competitive basis, that is, chosen by academic
standing among those eligible applications received and accepted by the scholarship committee.

The Scholarship Committee of Cellini Lodge 2206 OSIA, will be accepting competitive applications in keeping
with the eligibility standards announced by the Cellini Charitable Foundation. Upon the following basis and
criteria:

1.        The student must be a grandchild of a Cellini Lodge member, but  whose parents are not members of
Cellini Lodge.  The grandparent must be a Cellini Lodge 2206 member in good standing for at least five (5)
consecutive years prior to the submission of an application for this scholarship.

2.        The applicant must reside in New York State and have graduated from a New York State High School.

3.        Applicant must be graduated in the year in which scholarship awards are made.  

4.        The applicant must have an 85 or better average

5.        The applicant must be accepted at an accredited school, college or university or vocational school and
express commitment to a degree at the time of presentation.


Application Instructions and Procedures:

1.        Applicant must complete the application and submit to school principal or guidance counselor.

2.        In order that the applicant might be evaluated properly, the principal or guidance counselor must attach
to the application a certified or official high school transcript of the applicant’s high school grades with SAT
scores through completion of the seventh semester.  All SAT score results or other standardized tests for
college admission must be included either on the transcript or separately. And forward to:

3.        The application, together with transcript of high school grades through completion of seventh semester
and two letters of recommendation and verification of college acceptance must be received by
May 10, 2009.

4.        In the event the applicant feels that additional data exists which attests to other significant
accomplishments, either scholastic or personal community oriented achievements, made during the high
school years, the data must be forwarded directly to the above address for the Scholarship Committee
Chairman to review.

5.        The consideration of a scholarship application is based upon the applicant complying with instructions.  
It is incumbent upon the applicant to submit a full and complete application with all attachments and
transcripts.  The scholarship committee will not consider an incomplete application, The committee will,
however, give proper consideration to all applications received.

6.        In addition to the above, the scholarship committee will take into consideration the years of the
grandparent’s membership in Cellini Lodge as well as their active involvement in various committees of the
Cellini Lodge, and the support of ongoing programs of the lodge.

Any award is entirely within the discretion of the scholarship committee of Cellini Lodge, and may be revoked if:
a.        Any applicant/recipient does not graduate with his/her high school class and
b.        Is unable to submit verification of college acceptance by August 31 of the graduation year.
